
Paper Sushi | Assistant Designer & Studio Manager
I've worked with Jennifer of Paper Sushi for over 10 years, helping the brand grow from a small studio into a go-to destination for premium custom rubber stamps and stationery. Starting as a studio assistant in 2014 and stepping into the studio manager role in 2022, I've worn many creative hats - from designing products to leading marketing strategy to keeping production running smoothly.
As the assistant designer, I created all custom stamp and stationery designs, collaborated directly with clients, and prepped production-ready files to ensure every engraving printed flawlessly. Beyond custom work, I also developed new product designs, published crafty blog posts, led social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest, and created branded email campaigns and automated flows via Mailchimp.
As the studio manager, I nurtured a 12,000+ member VIP Facebook group, managed e-commerce listings and product photography, and handled customer outreach to secure wholesale and bulk production orders. Along the way, I built systems to keep client files organized and reorders seamless. Stamp assembly, hand production, and shipping.
This role was the perfect blend of design, marketing, production, and hands-on craftsmanship, giving me deep experience in branding, digital illustration, social strategy, and pre-production workflows across platforms like BigCommerce, Etsy, Faire, Amazon, and Minted.
